Choose extras, not a different campaign

Every edition contains the game. Eclipse focuses on digital extras; Day One adds physical items; Collector’s combines both in a larger package. Official Bandai Namco game page.

A simple decision path

  • Only want to play? Start with Standard.
  • Want digital lore and music? Examine Eclipse.
  • Want a memento without a statue? Compare Day One.
  • Want display pieces? Check Collector’s delivery, contents and condition.

These are editorial priorities, not a claim that the most expensive box is best for everyone.

Standard vs Eclipse: do you need the upgrade?

If you already own Standard or Day One, the publisher offers the Eclipse digital content as an upgrade. Look for the upgrade, not a second full-game bundle, and check that it matches your platform and account. It adds the compendium, comic and soundtrack, not a different campaign. Bandai Namco: Edition guide.

If you own neither, compare the full Eclipse package against the current total for Standard plus the matching upgrade in the same regional store. We do not claim either route is always cheaper. If you already have Collector’s, check the included digital entitlement before paying for these extras again.

For the book-like extra, the Digital World Compendium guide separates the digital companion from the printed hardcover and explains what to check when your purchase is missing.

Two launch-era traps

The armor promotion was a pre-order early unlock, not permanently exclusive gear. Do not assume today’s purchase includes a valid bonus code. No edition included early access to the campaign. Bandai Namco: Edition guide.

Compare the final basket

Include shipping and applicable taxes in your comparison. Confirm platform, disc compatibility and code region. For used packages, distinguish physical contents from redeemed digital extras. Save the seller’s contents list with the receipt when the collectibles are your reason for buying.

If your only interest is the book-like digital extra, read the compendium explanation before paying for a full physical collection.
