Content updated:

Start by choosing a comfortable combat approach, checking the cost of quest actions and planning skills for Coen’s day or night form. Choose a combat approach you can read

The publisher offers directional combat and assisted omniattack / omniblock approaches. Practice reading an incoming attack and your response before adding complexity. Timing and positioning still matter with assistance. Bandai Namco: Swordmastery.

For the fuller comparison, open the combat and day/night guide. This route does not prescribe a difficulty setting or a universal button layout.

Inspect the time cost before accepting an action

You have 30 days and 30 nights as a story resource. Exploring by itself does not spend it automatically, while starting or advancing certain quests spends segments. You cannot assume one run has enough time for everything. Bandai Namco: Time and combat explained.

Before committing, decide whether the action serves your current goal and compare its displayed cost. Use the time and playthrough-length explanation when a real-world hours estimate is being confused with the story clock.

Learn for the form you plan to use

Swordmastery works by day and night; Witchcraft is daytime, and Vampirism is nighttime. There is one XP bar and one type of skill point across the trees. Learning combines points and time with knowledge: Swordmastery and Witchcraft use manuals, while deeper Vampirism involves corruption. Rebel Wolves / Bandai Namco: Skills & Power.

Our suggested checklist is: check the form, the requirement and the cost before learning. It is a planning aid, not a ranked build. Use the skill unlock and manual checks for progression requirements, then the skill-tree overview for official diagrams.

Explore first, then pick the next guide

This starter route omits relationship quest names and ending outcomes. The romance guide is a separate opt-in for players who want those quest entry points.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need directional combat to start?

The publisher describes omniattacks and omniblocks alongside directional combat. Choose the approach you can read comfortably before seeking a more demanding style.

Can I explore without wasting the 30 days?

Exploration alone does not advance the story clock. Starting or advancing certain quests spends segments; learning abilities also takes time, so inspect costs before committing.

Why can I not learn a skill even after leveling?

Points are only one requirement. Swordmastery and Witchcraft use knowledge or manuals, while Vampirism progression involves corruption. Check the selected ability’s requirements.
